William Larue Weller, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

William Larue Weller, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

  • Nose:

  • Finish:

Nose: Coconut, vanilla, chocolate and mint emerges in this uncut, unfiltered bourbon. Hints of raisins show up after a while.

Palate: Spicy and warming but not rough. Creamy and rich, this bourbon tastes like good quality (high fat) vanilla ice cream. The raisins show up again in the long finish changing the vanilla ice cream flavor more to a rum raisin.

Comments: There is warmth in this bourbon but it never feels overwhelming. Most of the aromas and flavors need a little water to come out.

This bourbon is part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection that also features George T. Stagg, Sazerac Rye 18 Yr., Eagle Rare 17Yr. and Thomas H. Handy. They are distilled here in Frankfort KY.

Alc/Vol: 60.45%
