Nose: The first thing you notice is the grain, with very subtle notes of smoke and peat. There are nice aromas of cola and nutty toffee, and notes of honey that turn to vanilla as it sits in the glass.

Palate: What’s most notable when the whiskey enters the mouth is its smooth, creamy mouth feel, not any particular flavor. Some subtle malt is present and it finishes with a little smoky peat and citrus notes.

Comments: This is a blended whiskey made by the Tomatin distillery. It is a very drinkable and enjoyable blended scotch but not exceptional. It makes other mass produced blended scotches seem harsh by comparison.  The palate and the finish are a little simple, but that’s about the only bad thing I can say about this bottle.

Alc/Vol: 40%
