Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve, Straight Bourbon

Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve, Straight Bourbon

  • Nose:
  • Palate:
  • Finish:

Nose: Vanilla is the thing that greets the nose, followed by root beer, nuts, charcoal with hints of cinnamon.
Palate: Hot, with charcoal and toast.
Comments: At 120 proof this bourbon needs some ice to mellow out. I think it comes off hotter than other whiskies of similar strength. The nose offers some interesting aromas but they are very hard to pull out. That said with ice this whiskey is enjoyable, but not exceptional.

Knob Creek is made at the Jim Beam Distillery right here in Kentucky.
Alc/Vol: 60%
